Description:A68 Dalkeith Northern Bypass

The dashed line represents the Scottish Executive's proposed line for the A68 Dalkeith Northern Bypass. There are a number of issues with this alignment. Firstly it ploughs straight through Dalkeith Country Park. Secondly it dumps all the traffic onto the City Bypass. There is no direct access to the city.

My suggest is for the road to strike further north and link up with a new free flow junction between the A68, A720 and A1. It avoids the country park and provides a better link into the city
