Central Bedfordshire Council is the Highway Authority responsible for the planning, maintenance, and development of all roads – other than trunk roads, managed by National Highways – in that part of the historic county of Bedfordshire it administers, together with some small peripheral areas which are parts of the historic counties of Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and Cambridgeshire.
