Pre-Worboys
Pair of pre-Worboys warning signs, Shepreth. The road junction icon has fallen off, leaving behind its shape in the dirt.
The black arrowhead has fallen off the end (you can see the shape where it was) but otherwise in very good condition. This is where Tennyson took many walks, and Blackdown is the highest hill in Sussex at 919 feet, around a mile along the road.

For a close-up of the finial under less cluttered foliage, see 1752509.
Winterborne Stickland- downhill from Normandy Lodge Looking down the road which has come from Bryanston and Blandford, as it heads down into the village of Winterborne Stickland.
The finger-post has in recent years been fitted with a traditional style Dorset roundel giving location and grid reference. See 5710890 for a close-up.
Fingerpost, Winterborne Stickland Winterborne Stickland is first and foremost a working village. Its many thatched houses are interspersed with more modern buildings which have mellowed with the years into a harmonious whole.
Old pole, possibly for pre 1956 crossroads sign erected in late 1930s when the neighbouring houses were built.
All of the signs here are badly positioned, but this one is the most obvious. It also looks very tired and makes a poor use of space.
One of several old signs preserved in Dalkey. Space around the arrows suggests it has either been cleaned or patched.
