South Ayrshire Council

South Ayrshire Council is the Highway Authority for all the roads in the southern portion of the County of Ayrshire, except the A77 and A78 which are managed by Transport Scotland. As of 2016, Government Statistics say that the council is responsible for 67.3 miles of A roads; 127.3 miles of B roads and 570.9 miles of other roads. There is an additional 57.9 miles of Trunk roads within the council area, which are maintained by Transport Scotland.
